When you’re trying to find out what’s causing a pesky bug or why certain users are getting frustrated, we know how helpful session filters are.
So we asked you which additional filters you’d love to see us add—and we’re happy to say we’ve now built what you requested.
You now have new filters at your disposal to help you find insights in Heatmaps, Recordings, Trends, Funnels, and Dashboards.
Plus, segments (selections of filters you can save and reuse), previously limited to Recordings, are now available in Dashboards, Trends, and Funnels, too.
Refreshed page. View sessions where an unresponsive page caused users to refresh it. (Available on Observe Business and above.)
Entered text. View sessions where users entered (or didn’t enter) text into a search bar, form, or other field. See what users are looking for when they visit your site. (Available on Observe Scale.)
Browser version and language. Investigate localization issues and size up opportunities. (Available on Observe Business and above.)
Operating system version. Check if a bug you spotted (or a user reported) is caused by a particular OS version. (Available on Observe Plus and above.)
Screen resolution. See how users with different display resolutions experience your site so you can spot any design issues. (Available on Observe Plus and above.)
💡Pro tip: save your filters as segments or use default ones. That way, all your favorite segments will be a click away. No need to apply filters multiple times or bookmark URLs.
A few other things you can do with these filters:
Discover UX issues after a website redesign. Filter your recordings with the refreshed page filter to see where and why users get frustrated. Save it as a segment to use on your dashboards.
Resolve bugs faster. Filter sessions by OS version, browser version, or screen resolution filters on Trends to size the issues and understand the causes.
Get to the bottom of localization issues. Use the browser language filter on Recordings to see what users from your target markets see and identify any issues.
