Project management in general has a high tolerance for failure. Extending due dates, forgetting tasks and cost overruns are so common that they are considered a part of the process. Fewer than a third of all projects were successfully completed on time and on budget over the past year. (source: Standish group) It doesn’t have to be that way, it shouldn’t be that way.
Imagine going to work, starting your computer and logging into an app which has all your projects, communication and files in one secure place. That’s Taskworld. We are on a mission to make it easier for people to work together, leading to the overall well being of the employees.
Taskworld’s idea was conceived by Fred Mouawad, serial entrepreneur and founder of Synergia One Group of Companies when he was wrestling with the growth of his businesses. He recognized the need for a project management solution focusing on communication. After the successful implementation across all his 15 companies, Taskworld was launched for the rest of the world in December 2013. Since then we have been refining it and adding more features according to the needs of our users.
Instead of relying on integration with chat applications, Taskworld offers in built chat. This makes the whole experience of communicating and organizing completely seamless. This also reduces the cost considerably. An average chat + project management integration costs around 2-3 times more than Taskworld.
Project management applications are gaining a lot of traction with tech savvy businesses all around the world. They are noticeably cutting costs and making things faster. However a major chunk of businesses still work the way they did in 1990s. The potential of growth therefore is tremendous for not just collaborative apps but SaaS in general.
We feel that collaborative apps in future will cover all aspects of teamwork; from organization, communication and file sharing to performance evaluation.
We believe that our biggest challenge is something every new technology has to face - changing habits of people. It’s not easy to see the true value of a project management app till you actually use one. Changing this mindset is challenging, but we’re working on it :-)

You can have the most brilliant developers, marketers and designers but unless they work well in a team, they can’t create great products. They can use Taskworld to work within and across teams.

Developers use Taskworld to organize their sprints. The pick up bug fixes and feature requests from the Tasklists and then devise a creative solution to the problem. They then put the task for QA testing, after which it is deployed on the app.
Similarly marketers can use Taskworld to manage internal projects, create action oriented meetings, and coordinate with other departments. Design teams can use Taskworld to share their wireframes, manage different stages of design process and do UI/UX testing.
The way we communicate is by talking about direct benefits rather than features. Once people realize that having a project management system in place improves all aspects of work, they not just adopt it but also spread the word.
For example, instead of just saying Taskworld brings clarity to teamwork, we show how it actually does that. A lot of teams struggle with having result oriented meetings. Sometimes meetings lead to 2 hours of debating but at the end everyone leaves as clueless as they came. A lot of teams around the world are now using Taskworld in their meetings. They don’t just discuss ideas but also convert them into actionable tasks, assign it to people and set dates for a follow up discussion. This keeps meetings short, to the point and action oriented.
Our website is extremely important for getting new sign ups. Like our application, we are always trying to refine our website, sign up process and onboarding. Therefore observations based on user behavior are like gold for us.
Hotjar’s heatmap feature has been incredibly useful for us to increase our website conversions. To give an example, we studied Hotjar's heatmaps to understand where users were clicking during Taskworld’s signup process. The entire process revealed some great insights. We discovered a few issues which only required 5 minutes to be resolved. This quick fix boosted our conversion by 40%.

Heat mapping is our favorite feature because it’s great to understand user behavior. It lets you notice patterns that you might not have considered before. We also like the Hotjar’s conversion funnel as it gives a nice visual overview of the entire conversion process.
Without analytics, data is just noise. Analyzing data helps you make decisions which are informed and free from bias. Being user centric is at the core of our product development strategy. Our users’ experience with the app drives not only improvements but also lays the foundation for our product roadmap. A lot of features that you currently see in Taskworld were requested by our users. We have a dedicated project in Taskworld called “Front Eye Document” where we record and analyze all our user feedback.
As Taskworld continues to grow, understanding user behavior will only become more important. The first step of which is continuously reiterating the conversion process, in which Hotjar plays an important role.
